Tom,

I'm going and so is my neighbor John. Matty and Karla are going according to his posts on the ST Louis scooter board.

Why they run that junt at the hardest part of the semester?

I really wanted to make it but I am just too damn busy with school.

You guys have a blast and pop a wheelie and a beer for old dirty Rob. (ODR)

Another great DamN Ride...

You can read all the ride reports and see the photos on the STL scooter site here: http://www.stlscooterforum.com/ in the Rides and Rally Reports section, and other fotos are in the FLICKR photostream link on the left of the page.

John and I left like last year early Friday morning to enjoy the ride .. had a great breakfast in Ava on the way up, but had to do roadside repair on the way too. Malfunction of the plug cap, then a run down battery. Rolled into Osage Beach mid afternoon after a thoroughly enjoyable jaunt of 125 miles. Beautiful weather all the way.

Friday night was beer and a trip out to eat, then more beer, scooter talk, other talk and tons of fun. Left around 11 the next day for the Ride Around the Lake and lunch at Big Dicks. Here is KCBluesBBQ's Chetak and friend at the photo stop at the dam.

Here we are assembled at Versaille, Mo with Matty's Chetak in the front.

It rained while we ate lunch, told stories, and enjoyed the services of Kim the Latvian Supermodel hired just for the occassion. Wink Parked at Big Dicks

Then it was back to the hotel around 4 and we adjourned across the street for 10cent skeeball and bumper cars while the cooks tended smokers and BBQ pits. It did sprinkle as dinner was being served so we setup a cafe under the canopy and ignored the wet. Killer food was served until 1pm that night, much beer drank, and John did his Balloon Show.

Here is the ceremonial toast to CowboyRob and all who could not make it. That's Matty & Karla in the center and assorted MadTotos's including out new member KCBluesBBQ sitting on the left.

We set out the next morning and rode to Camdenton for that 2nd cup of morning coffee and donuts only to be greeted by a drenching 35 mile ride down to Lebanon, but a 2 hour stopover at a truck stop was enough for the rain to leave and allow a nice ride back to the creek.

So, you have to visit the STL site to read all the other reports, which are exciting as hauling scooters can be more dangerous than riding them Confused , food stories .. the cooks were supreme .. smoking equipment (mostly for food), chrome seat covers and other mods, a cheesecake photo of our Latvian Supermodel, and tons of stuff you don't want to miss.

I'm ready for next years ride Cool

AWE SHUCKS......you guys didn't have to..... A CEREMONIAL TOAST TO COWBOYROB! I am so honored! I am so regretful that I missed it again. I also have to miss the MADTOTO rally this year because a friend is traveling 200 miles to help us move that weekend. I am going to have to plan some solo nomadic excursions to get my blood cooled off this summer.

Glad you guys had such a good time Very Happy !

Rob
