I have seen this design in an article once, I thought this was one of the last design changes Bajaj made that may not have made it to the US market, I noticed it from the roman helmet front fender.

I think it's a Bajaj "Classic", never imported into the USA. It's a variation using the the early Vespa side covers, the Legend front fender and "anti-dive" front suspension cover. You can see the early full wheel cover, on the spare, and no side guards or passenger foot rest. Looks pre-Bajaj that we all are used to. There was recently a used Bajaj "Classic" front leg shield emblem for sale on eBaY by a UK seller. Hmmmmm.

Hello, my name is Marco and I write from Italy (so I will make many mistakes, writing in english ihih)
I love Vespas and I have a 2004 Bajaj Classic SL 125. It's a very good bike, the most precious thing that I have..
My bike is identical to the one of the first photo, the same colour, the same version...
With my Bajaj in summer 2006 I had a trip in Tuscany, a two weeks - holiday, wonderful!
This is my bike during the journey:
And this is my bike today... with some modifications, near my Vespa Primavera ET3:
There are other photos on this website: www.vesparesources.com (in the forum board)
This site is very interesting!!
See you

I'd love to get my hands on either one of those horncasts shown.
i really hate the stock one, i'm sure there are a ton of people like me, but they've changed it to a vespa horncast already.
I'll have to start looking on the internets to find those. the dark grey was a 2006 classic? and the blue one looks like it says 12v electronic?

The blue Chetak above is a 2 stroke and still based heavily on the Vespa Sprint design.
The gray one is indeed the Classic, which is also a 2 stroke. I wonder if the cowls are interchangeable with the ones on the American import models? Not sure about the horncasting... still kinda ugly!
Thanks for sharing those pics.

Sigh...
No luck in finding that horncast. though i did find a site with a ton of different accessories for your scoot.
http://scooter-center.com/catalog/default.php?language=en
It's kind of hard to navigate because every bike selection has it's own accessories section, so that's sort of annoying, not to mention shipping starts at like 20 or 30 bucks. still, a good place to maybe look for a bit, get some ideas.
I'll keep trying for that horncast though.

Yeah i agree with you about it being ugly still, but at least it's got some curve to go with the rest of the curves on the bike.

I dig the one on the sprint clone. Looks real utilitarian.

Same here. Anyone seen these available in the states? The same thing but in chrome would be awesome. I really like the windshield on Marben's scoot too. The headset looks the same as ours. Need to know the manufacturer.

...thats a two stroke "sprint" clone with an "up graded" horn casting... i'll bet money there is the metal horn cast underneath it!

geomorphie's horncast is definitely sleeker... but I kinda like the stock horncast. Maybe I'll cut an access panel into it and store walnuts in there...

There isn't. Bajaj models that have the plastic horn cast are based on VBB Vespas frame. On these Vespas, the horn cast was soldered on the legshield. My Classic SL, in fact, doesn't have any metal horn cast, and it is very similar to the 'four stroke' Chetak (I think they have the same legshied, soldered to different parts),
The old Chetak, the one with round blinkers, has the Sprint legshield, that is a monolithic piece with the horncast.

Hey Marben. Welcome back! Hook us up with a vendor over there tha will ship to the US reasonably. Would really like to score a set of those grab rails if the will fit the current 4T's and maybe a Scarebeo windshield.
It's going to take me a while to translate the Italian site. When I figure it out I'll have to post in the classified secton for them both.

Bajaj spares are non longer avaible in Italy... Many parts are compatible with Piaggio spares... but these parts are built only by Bajaj.. so they are very difficult to find.
The grab rails surely will fit the four stroke Chetak frame. The position of the screws that hold the tank it's always the same, even on 2T Bajaj - Vespa frames... (as I can see from many pictures on this forum)
You can look for an Aprilia spares seller, I guess you can find it ... near you home.
You can also have a look on Ebay, the Scarabeo which was sold with the small windscreen is now discontinued... But this kind of windscreen are normally too much expensive. Mine was... for free, I had it from a my father's friend.
I'm sorry for my poor enghish...

I have to agree. Those rounded winkers fit the bike so much better than the rectangulars we have in the US. Oh well. You takes what you can gets.
Hey Marco. Wouldn't happen to have a picture of your gals gorgeous rear end do you? Would love to see that posted.
