 Headset swap-Chetak bars onto a Legend? |

So, I just bought a dented but low-miles Legend fior $700. Runs like a champ but it's ugly as sin. I was going to flat-black rat-bike the thing. I have an extra '02 Chetak headset. Has anyone out there tried this switch before? Do the electrics just plug in? Is the fork-tube the same size and configuration?

I was on the phone with the tech man at bajaj usa about 4 years ago about a carb issue and asked him about this swap and he said it wont work I forgot the reasons I do know one of the reasons had to do with the wiring harness. sorry I dont remember more. 20 years from now a chetak will be common and a legend a collectors item.
