Beats me. I think I'm the only one moderating at this point. I log in every once and a while and ban spam posters but that is about it. Chetak still runs, in fact I need to crank it up due to sitting. It's a good forum for the archives at least.

Still here; I check about weekly but don't have anything to add. Two Chetaks, one runs often and well, 3000 miles, and one runs seldom, also well.
I wish they still made these machines. seems like nobody wants to shift a scooter today Rolling Eyes
donarntz;thank you for keeping this site going!

Well that's not entirely true. You can buy a 4t stella.

Glad to see some people still around! I've got 2 Chetaks, both 02s...
One is a beater I picked up in Brooklyn 2 years ago. Still working on it...very slowly! The other is my baby. PX horn cover, floor rails, bullet turn signals, full front crash bars...not the cheap clamp-on Stella version, but the full size one piece 60s Vespa piece...extended the bars an inch to accept Vespa grips, Stella center stand, wired a red LED indicator light in place of the turn signal buzzer, aluminum Italia 2 piece polished rims, customized HRA exhaust, hand painted pin stripes & pin-up girl.

She runs like a top. Plus, I've got a perfect 350 mile turn key motor in a crate, along with crates filled with parts. I bought a few wrecked Chetaks & stripped them, back when they stopped production. I'll be good to go for decades! I even have a few wiring harnesses, for when I break a wire! Brake light lens, voltage regulator...I plan on keeping my Tak around for as long as possible!

Yes, still here from time to time.
Red 2002 Chetak approaching 15,000. Still runs good, looks good. Have a second one for parts.

Ditto, except I had to go with a baby blue for parts. I wish I could have found the same color, that would have been convenient.
