Hi guys!

I've sure missed chatting about scoots this summer. We're just waiting on the birth of our son. I'm due any moment now.

Just poking my head in to say hello! Hope all is well, the bikes are all running smoothly, and everyone's having a great summer!

Hi Alana!

I have missed your positive and energetic posts on the forum. Always nice to hear from you. I wish you and your husband daughter and family all the best and from what I have seen from your attitude on this board your son is blessed to be born to such a caring, funny, intelligent mother!

Blessings to you and yours.

Rob

Aww! Thanks guys!

Yup, we're still waiting, but I have managed to find lots of little baby boy scooter tshirts and such. He'll be helping mommy work on her bike. It'll probably be when he learns to cuss, just like I did when I was little and would "help" my father work on his car. I thought expletives were magic words that helped things get fixed. Boy, my grandmother sure straightened me out on that one! Her and a bar of Dial and I never cussed around a family member again.

But I digress...

So what are the plans for the rally? Are you guys still going to do it? Or are we going to kick it off next year? Rufusswan, what's the latest invention?

We haven't heard much, if anything about the rally.

Latest invention, huh. I have evaluated last years topbox which I crafted out of scrap plywood. Ok for testing purposes but not the best for long term value. It was super handy and even Matty thought it stylin'. It needs made of metal for longevity, and it needs to be bigger. I just sold off my back rack and am now forced to construct the final model. This will however require the purchase of a sheet metal brake for the bending operations. Gotta source lid attachment and fasteners to attach behind the tire mount. A winter project.

Hey Alana!
Best wishes on the delivery! We've missed you around here...
I hope that you "winterized" your Bajaj before you put it away ;-)
Let us know how everything turns out -

Heh! Well, I winterized in November and found out I was pregnant in December, so that worked out well. Smile

Rufusswan, have you ever messed around with fiberglass? You're really good with the metal fabrication, though.

Whooooo contractions tonight. We'll see if there's a new Bajaj rider in the next day or two.

Yep have messed with fiberglass, even took some factory training to repair bath tubs. A very cool medium in itself, and glass over wood is way cool. Strong and pretty.

So as "Labour Day" approaches, you're getting twinges, eh Wink
