ahh i just used this tutorial to replace my head lamp with a brighter one. i'm going to probably replace the gauge lights next weekend and also tail light bulb with the 3watt luxeon.

the only problem i had with this was kinda prying open the casing to access the speedo cable - maybe put too much unneccessary strain on the cable but i got it unscrewed in the end with some pliers.

i just saw paraasari's post saying i can detach the cable housing at the front wheel hub - which should make disconnecting/reconnecting the speedo cabe at the top a bit easier. could someone elaborate a bit on how to detach the cable housing at the bottom? thanks!

Wix, you have no idea how the 'prior' person has the cable arranged. Try pushing the cable up thru the steering column from the bottom to take some strain off the connection. This can be easier, if needed, by disconnecting from the front wheel.

for the indicator lights, the more narrow the angle the better, for lighting up the cluster, the wider the angle the better. Personally I think the WLED x4 is overkill and way to bright, I took mine out and replaced with a single wide angle. I would not get the "30-led" bulb, get one of the high powered 3 watt (at least) instead. The others aren't bright enough, they shouldn't even be allowed to be sold.

thanks - so all the blue and green ones as narrow as possible and the white ones wide.

could you possibly be a bit more specific with the tail light bulb - i honestly have no idea what 'm looking for Embarassed
