My LiL' Mule

She is coming along...

Seats just got here... I ordered 3 seats... 2 - front & rear saddles... (fatheads sent 2 front saddles)...
Lucky for me I ordered a pillion seat & stainless rack... Fit perfectly...
One word.... COMFY
Me likie...me likie A-Lot...

waiting on some other goodies

I'm doing my hubs REd... that is... as soon as I can get the hub nut off...
I have stainless stars to put on and some cool mirrors will be here any minute...
I can't wait to rip off the stock mirrors... all I see is my shoulders with the stock mirrors... Laughing

I am adding a bit of red to the paint job as well...
I am winging all this stuff... but so far I haven't chunked anything i've done... it's a miracle... Confused

More pix soon...

That red really makes for a unique look. Your scooter really stands out! I think that headlight ring is what gives it that extra pop. Look forward to seeing what you do with the paint.

I am working with a manufacturer to get these and other seats imported...
However the Mfg. is in the process of expanding their operation and will not be taking orders
until sometime in October.

I was sent a 2nd front seat by mistake...(it was suppose to be a front & rear set)
So I will be selling the other front saddle.
Let me know if you want to talk turkey about it.

Post The Doctor ... Reply with quote
The Doctor will see you now

... the surgery I have done on my "Lil Mule" Shocked
Now for the "plastic surgery" (pun intended) Laughing
I have cut the new plastic and tonight I am going in for the face lift...
wish me luck...

Crusader Tom.... I took your advice & found some "Kitty Hair" at my local auto body supply store.
They didn't have the Tiger Hair you told me about but from what I can tell the "kitty hair" is close enough to the same.
I also have some funky plastic magic stuff... it is like an epoxy.

my new floor rails should be here by friday along with some trim stuff, new lights, a siren & some new tools.
Ok..I am kidding about the siren... or am I?.........lol

In this last foto you will see I have reflectors on my leg shield...
The reflectors are there just to fool the coppers into thinking I have turn signals... Shocked Laughing
They are the reflectors off of the jocky box... haha

Hey, what kind of rack is that? That looks like what I'd be looking for to replace my failed one.

Gutsy or mental... haha
All is going well with the horncast surgery.
I replaced one side last night... Worked like a charm. I took pix but my cam is in the garage
at this moment.

As for the rack... well the rack is actually crash bars...very solid... I have the Bajaj front rack too
and may run them both... but this setup is smooth... Cool

Yeah... I like these mirrors... however I just ordered a set of trapezoid mirrors from motor sport
with 14" stems. I currently am running 10"... they work fine...but i think the extra 4 will rock.

Tom...I haven't had to use the Tiger, kitty, elephant hairy stuff yet & it is starting to look like i may
not have to. The STUFF I am using is a great filler & sands real well...

I will post some pix later today gang...

Post Patches are in place Reply with quote
Just finished mounting the patches ... All of what I have done has been pretty easy.
But this is the type of stuff I like to do... when it comes to working on an engine I
will have to call on some of you guys...
Hell I got my new CDI and I am still trying to figure out where it goes.......I kid you not...haha

Next; just a little more filling in and then some final smoothing/sanding...
I should add... and will post more info & fotos on the mounting of the screw in thingies onto
the bulkhead... this part is a bit tricky... you'll see...it's not bad... just a little more epoxy &
making sure your angles are correct...or close to it...

Here is a little foto for your amusement.

I decided to do a little mod to the front suspension cover just for fun.
...I cut that sucker off as shown but wanted to have a little top shelf on it...
So I epoxied it up last night and just spent 20 minutes shaping the added
plastic a few minutes ago. It needs about 15 minutes of final sanding
then it is off to my spray booth... Ok...it's not really a spray booth...it's my
garage... Shocked AKA the bat cave.

When it is done I think it will look like it was designed this way at the factory.

then I epoxied this plastic shelf on...
Here I did the ruff shaping...

the inside view of the ruffing...

freaken' looking good Doug!!! what are you going to do about turn signals?

my solution. trailer lights form the auto-parts store.

they're attached underneath using the mirror mount bolt. and the wires run into the top of the head set

as far as the swing arm cover... i didn't like the bajaj one at all. i custom built this instead

another view with more detail

i love all the personal touches people do to their scoots!

it's just for looks.
the plastic "space age" thing the chetaks came with are hideous... so i made a more "traditional" looking one.

Doug-

I was actually asking about the rear rack -- that's part of your crash bars?

Yes, yes -- where'd you get your rear rack, and what did you pay? Mine (spare tire/rack, Stella, I think) broke (the underseat plate and bar snapped!) and I'm either looking for something like what you have, or possibly hacking the current rack apart and bolting the shelf straight to the body.
