Rolled 14,000 last week on my way to work. I love this scoot.

Turned over 3,000 this evening on my second red 2002 Bajaj Chetak. Still very happy with this relatively trouble-free brand.

My first one had just turned over at 9,000 miles seventeen months ago when it was suddenly retired by a little old lady in a mini-van making an oncoming left turn.

Always wear your helmet!

Turned over 6,000 on the odometer today on the way home from getting my 6,000 mile service at the former Tempe, AZ dealership, Scooter Invasion. This is my second 2002 Red Bajaj Chetak. A bunch of metal shavings turned up in the oil filter, but I'm not too worried about it right now, as others have reported similar discoveries without any apparent consequences. It's something to keep an eye on, though.

Turned over 11,000 miles on my second 2002 Red Bajaj Chetak last night. Still runs great and looks great. Still rolling on original Nylo-grip tires. They wear like iron, but have almost no traction on wet pavement.

It's kinda awesome to see the 6th digit on the odometer move, even if it did take me 7 years. Plus, I'll be riding a lot more now that I'll be driving 10 miles to and from work instead of 3 miles on my bicycle. Also, those 10,000 miles have been mostly trouble-free.

Glad to see that this thread is still going. My wife and I haven't been riding much in the past two years due to other priorities. But both of our scoots are in the shop. Her Vespa LX150 will be ready this week while my Chetak is waiting on parts from Columbia. Looking forward to get back out on the road.

I wonder how many forum members still have their Bajaj's.
