Scooter Clubs Around Ventura County

Does anyone know if there is a scooter club in Ventura County, CA? (in the cities of Moorpark, Thousand Oaks, Camarillo, Oxnard, Ventura...?)

I'm answering my own post because I've just started one. There is now a scooter club for Ventura County, if anyone lives out in any of the above cities in California.

Hey, Old Mod David,

the club is currently called "Camarollers S.C." after the town of Camarillo, Calif. That's all changing, though. Our club is comprised of scooterists from all over Ventura County. We just had our very first ride last Saturday, October 11th 2008. I've posted everything including some pictures on our new blog at: http://camarollersscooterclub.blogspot.com/
Being more "county-wide" now, our boundaries are open, and include folks from all around. More than half of the members didn't make it out for the ride, so I'm planning on a bigger group next time. Check us out, though.

I'm pleased you had a very enjoyable first ride out with your new club, the pictures are good of the new group, let me know when and where your future rides/meet ups are, it's a little ways out for me but you never know if you drift towards Simi I just may show up to make it two Chetaks.

Alright, I will. November, we're planning on a camping trip to somewhere- maybe Ojai. But whatever we plan will be posted on our blog. Keep in touch.

We're going to have a meet-up Saturday, November 22 at the new Camarillo Library parking lot. We're planning on riding out to the Camarillo WWII Aviation Museum and having lunch at the adjacent cafe there. You're more than welcome to join us and bring friends if you want to. It would be nice to have another mod Chetak riding with us.

I checked your Blog: start time 9.00 am is a little early for me to make it over to Camarillo as I have to be elsewhere at a similar time. (unless I can wriggle out of it) BTW those patches look great. Are they for club members only?

Hey David,
That's okay. What we're going to do is scoot over to the air museum, which doesn't open until 10 am, so if you wanted to, you could meet us over there and then have lunch and ride back. We're gonna have more rides, though. This will only be our second ride. We're a fairly new club. If you like the patches, I could mail you one. I did originally design them for our members, but have quite a few to spare. Anyway, it's good exposure for us. We have the two-tone black and white ones and the patriotic red, white & blue ones. just let me know and send me your mailing address.

We recently had a rendezvous with a group of scooterists from LA and went to Neptune's Net. It was a nice group of people. There were over 24 scooters. Check out the blog.
