Another option we are thinking about is flying into Vancouver, crossing over the border and grabbing some bikes in Washington and then catching the ferry from Bellingham up to Alaska. It's not cheap but it might be cheaper than having a company haul bikes up there for us.

Hi guys...we've talked before. Glad this is still in the works. I have finally made the move to Bellingham so hoping I get a chance to meet you on the way. After living in Alaska my entire life I can tell you that the shipping will be ridiculous. The ferry is expensive, but a great way to travel. If you ended up shipping the bikes you would still need to get to Alaska yourself, and it's much more expensive to fly. Let me know if I can help in any way. I saw a chetak for sale for 500 bucks on craigs list in Seattle when I got here...and thought of you. Unfortunately that one is gone, but I'll keep my eyes open.

We'd be super appreciative if you could keep your peepers peeled for a stray Bajaj! What we are hoping to do is film a trip around New Zealand, sort our website out, then approach businesses (such as Ferry companies, airlines) and see if there is any possibility of a fare reduction, in exchange for business exposure, and/or footage that they could use for their own purposes. So once we have the NZ trip and the website sorted we can show these groups who we are and what we are about and see from there which option might be the most affordable. Either way I'm sure we will be in Bellingham at some point so a rendezvous with you looks promising Smile
