Ron,
I run HRA and Matty runs POC. We met up at last years DamN Ride and were able to compare. I think the POC might, maybe be a bit louder. But maybe not louder just different. Seems like the POC was 'sharper' sounding than the HRA.
The important thing being, the scoot breaths a whole lot better, sounds waayy cooler, everyone knows it's you a'coming, and the women swoon

I agree with Rufus. The POC is sharper, poppier. The HRA is mellow and deep.
We revved the hell out of our bikes until ears started bleeding, babies started crying and women started fainting. I think as far as pure volume, they're about on par with each other.
If I had to do it again, I'd go for version 2 of the POC because it's stainless and easier to re-pack the fiberglass.

Thanks for the feedback... I SAID THANKS FOR THE FEEDBACK ON HOW LOUD YOUR PIPES ARE!
I'm going to start working on Phil for another run, I guess. I don't think that there are any more out there, and I'm unable to pay over $200 for a used/fuxored pipe.

I know what you mean Ronin. Although the 'science' of exhaust teck is pretty intense, a suitable pipe that would improve upon stock would not be difficult to make if one had just a few tools.
I discussed the idea with my Harley shop owner the other day and he agrees, except the guys who do good bend/weld exhaust are so swamped with work that ...... blah blah. He suggested I get more DIY with it, including the dumpster diving as Matty did.

Tom, any chance you still have that tracing? I've been thinking about making my own header andgetting a universal muffler.

If you have a stock exhaust you just need to hack saw the header off and start welding up from there.

@David, that header attachment is for Bajaj 2T engines - it's so you can put Vespa exhausts (like the Sito + or Scorpion) on the Bajaj jug. Won't work for your thumper.

Thanks, I know it's for the two stroke bajaj, just wondering if the four stroke had the same dimensions.

Is there a source for stock mufflers? I'd love to have one in reserve so that I can get on with the experimentation. If not, I'll need to jet hot mine (or, realistically, wire brush, rust kill and hi-temp paint it) before the season gets in full swing.
I'll ask this on the Bajajscoter list too as Al reads it.

Ronin,
Good idea, but you should be able to find a source of stock units from those who have installed HRA/POC's. I'm keeping mine unless someone can point out a source of header flanges that fit our scoots.
