The Dot! short for Wyandotte county... Kansas City, Kansas.

we, who live here call it "The Dot". people on the Missouri side call it "KCK". those in the burbs call it "The Hood".

it's a nice place to live. lots of old people and young families...
it's not uncommon to hear the phrase:

Hi,
I just found this forum, glad to see so many active Chetak riders. I've just purchased a 2004 with 4510 miles, I'm looking forward to "Mod-in" it up a little so I'm interested in everyones posts on accessories and where to purchase them, what looks good but may not work well is great to know prior to purchase. I live in San Fernando Valley, 21 miles north of Los Angeles...........anyone close??? I used to own and ride a Vespa SS 180 back in the good old days of the 60's Mods & Rockers era in London England when I Cool was a kid.
Glad to meet you all here.

There isn't a selection for Guantanamo Bay where I currently live, so I selected Missouri where I'll be going back to soon. I see there are a few people on here from Missouri, which is good to see. Any Bajaj meets in the MO area ever?

It's a widely accepted fact. Missouri is known as the state with the most Bajaj love.

So much so that it looks like we'll be having a national Bajaj meet-up sometime next year.

what up. SOUTH CENTRAL PA REPRESENT!
Im from Mechanicsburg. Work in Highspire.
I was/am the proud owner of a beautiful '96 Triumph Thunderbird.
My friend bought an '06 Chetak cause he thought he was cool.
He cant even drive stick.
Anyways...the scoot was just sitting in his condo parking lot.
I thought what a shame. So I decided to take it home and store it for him in my garage.
Bad Idea.
So I decided to sell my Tbird and buy the scoot and use the left over money to work
on my better old kz550.
So im running home from work and an '86 cadillac pulls a left in front of me.
So now i def have to buy the scoot and def have to sell my bike. So im sure you see much more of me on here.

OKC for the last 3 years

Atlanta GA before that. bought my '02 new from a shop that isn't there anymore.

13,000+ miles on it now.... Trouble free?... I think the only '02 issue that I didn't have was the flywheel.

Hi, I'm from Tampa Bay, were we can ride just about any old time we want to. The weather here is scooterific right now! I don't own a Bajaj (yet). But my partner and i have 2 scooters, a dark red Lance Venice, and a fire engine red Fly LaVie. Both are Vespa/Stella/Bajaj knockoffs. We love all kinds of retro and vintage scooters. I just saw my first Bajaj scooter last week. It was way cool!

I'm new to the Bajaj scene, got a sweet used 2003 4T Chetak from your board member rabidwombat. I am anxious to get out and ride as I am used to riding a twist-n-go Buddy for the last year and a half. Now the big question is, which one to ride? I want to be fair to both! Smile

Rented a van and picked up a red 2002 Chetak off Craigslist in Orange County, CA on January 3rd. Out and back on the same day, over 800 miles. Definitely worth the trip!

Have since discovered and resolved the "loose rear hub nut" and the "loose clutch hub nut" issues, thanks to the generous individuals who have shared their knowledge and expertise in this most excellent forum.

OUTSIDE USA!

I am in India, the land of the Bajaj.
I own a limited edition non-electronic version of the "Bajaj Cub" 100cc 3 gear scooter.

@ rkarthea:

Your Bajaj is beautiful. I'm just stunned. It is perfect! Great colors, great condition. Love the 8 inch wheels and the super big glove box... split seats... foot rest... everything. My favorite part is the no turn signals and the volcano headset. What a jewel. You should be proud of that scooter. Just plain awesome!
